Edwinstowe, Thoresby and Sherwood Forest Visitors Centre

Well it's certainly starting to ‘feel’ a lot like Christmas now we have commenced our festive programme with 3 engagements in almost as many days On Thursday we had a lovely – if a little chilly – time at the Edwinstowe Christmas lights switch on which was tremendously well supported by local residents and visitors alike. Saturday saw us visit Thoresby Courtyard for the Winterfest Craft fair, again singing outside with the sun setting in a beautiful sky towards the end of the afternoon. There were plenty of people milling around and some very generous, well received applause from on lookers and shoppers alike. Thankfully we had the joy of being accompanied by our resident pianist Janet. Man

November Update

No sun--no moon! No morn--no noon-- No dawn--no dusk--no proper time of day.....................November! ( quotation from a longer poem by Thomas Hood. ) But on a much more cheerful note, the Choir has gained several new singers who came to see if they liked us, decided that they did and are now part of our friendly group. We welcome all potential new members. There are no auditions and no necessity to read music, just try us out for two or three weeks to see if you enjoy our music making. We rehearse every Wednesday evening from 7-30pm until 9-15pm in the Concert Hall at the Dukeries Academy in Ollerton. The venue is best accessed by the Leisure Centre entrance and car park. You can
