Glorious sunshine today but my word it's a chilly one. I am eagerly anticipating the appearance of "the fair maids of February." Also known as Snowdrops. They will surely brighten these cold and unfriendly days.
Speaking of friends, our very friendly Choir is now back in full swing. It is not too late to make a New Year resolution and begin a new hobby of singing with a Choir. It really does contribute towards the "feel good factor" and lifts the spirits wonderfully. If you would like to come along for a "taster" session with us, you would be very welcome. There are no auditions and no necessity to read music, although that would be a bonus. An even bigger bonus would be if you were a fella. We love our men and would like more of them!! We meet every Wednesday evening in the Concert Hall at the Dukeries Academy in Ollerton from 7-30pm. until 9-30pm. This is best accessed via the Leisure Centre entrance and car park. You can see blogs on our recent activities on our website together with other information regarding the Choir.
We also have some performance items on utube when we sang with the Notts. Recorder Group at Laxton Church a few years ago. However we sing a wide variety of music in an even wider variety of venues and would enjoy singing for your fund raising, charity or celebratory event. We have some bookings for 2017 but have plenty of available dates if you would like to book us. Please contact our Concert Secretary Phil on 01623 822070 who would be pleased to speak to you.
We all wish you a very (early) tranquil Spring.
