November Update

November 3, 2018

Here we are in the definitive  'Season of Mists and Mellow Fruitfulness'.  'Yes it is the time to lift your spuds, clear out the greenhouse, empty your Summer pots and baskets, buy Winter Pansies and bulbs and unearth all your Christmas CD's Christmas Songs and Carols, ready for the Festive Season!!!!   We have been rehearsing for this since the end of August and are now note and word perfect.

We practise every Wednesday evening from  7-30pm. until 9-00pm. in the Concert Hall at The Dukeries Academy, Ollerton.  This is best accessed via the Leisure Centre Entrance and Car Park.

We have lots of Christmas engagements already confirmed;  some of them are long standing events to which we look forward every year and some of them are new ventures to which we are also looking forward.

Sunday        2nd.  December  2018   Singing at TuxfordChristmas Lights.

Saturday      8th.   December  2018   The Dukeries Singers Annual Christmas Concert at Ollerton Jubilee Hall at 7-00pm.

Wednesday 12th.  December   2018   Carol Singing atBoughton  Crematorium  6-00pm. until  7-0pm.

Friday           21st. December   2018   A Concert at The Mansfield Masonic Hall at 6-15pm.

Saturday       22nd December   2018   Carol Singing at The Alders Restaurant, Ollerton.

I love the 'Musical' lead up to Christmas.  We only have that music out for a short time but it is so joyful and optimistic it has the capacity to lift everyone's spirits.  We are all so busy, busy, busy at this time of  year but I hope that you all have the opportunity to join in with one of these occasions and have a therapeutic sing.
